Annual Giving
Gifts to annual operations are used in the current fiscal year and include gifts made to The Episcopal Fund, restricted operations, and EITC and OSTC scholarship support.
The Episcopal Fund helps bridge the gap between tuition and the school’s operating expenses, giving the school the flexibility to allocate funds where they are most needed.

Endowment
Gifts to Episcopal’s endowment provide a permanent, sustainable source of funding for EA. Endowment principal is invested, and each year a portion of the value–currently 4%–of the fund is paid out to support the fund’s purpose. Any earnings in excess of the distribution build the fund’s market value, allowing the endowment to grow and provide support for its designated purpose in perpetuity. Each gift to an endowed fund increases the value of the total EA endowment while supporting and aligning with donors’ interests.
The 2022-23 fiscal year marked the final year of the near decade-long Shape Tomorrow campaign. Growing EA’s endowment with an eye to the future was a hallmark of the campaign where we focused on the people our students learn with and the people they learn from–their fellow students and teachers. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donor community and 2022-23 being the most successful year of the campaign, Shape Tomorrow has moved EA’s total endowment past the $100 million threshold.
The endowment value as of June 30, 2023, is $104.7 million. This includes both the financial endowment and the land.
